Poll Results: Which 2012 Films Are You Interested In Counting Down To?



You have had your say and the resutls are in! The winner of Which 2012 Films Are You Interested In Counting Down To is ... Aliens Films for Prometheus at 36%! And the good news is I'm doing a Prometheus Countdown and just vlogged & podcasted about Alien. Right behind Alien was a three-way tie between James Bond Films for Skyfall, Bourne Films for Legacy and Lord of the Rings for The Hobbit at a whopping 28% each and The Bondathon is in full effect and I'll have to come up with snappy names for Bourne & Hobbit-ness.

Rounding out the results is Paranormal Activity for 4 at 16%, then the Twilight Films for Breaking Dawn Pt 2 at 8% and a tie in the last spot at 4% with Step Up Films for Revolution and Resident Evil Films for Retribution.

Poll Results: What January Release Are You Most Looking Forward To?

The results are in and it's a landside of vampire kick-butt goodness as Underworld Awakening sweeps in with 46% of the votes for What January Release Are You Most Looking Forward To. And I can't argue as it's what got my vote :)

Poll Results: What December Release Are You Most Looking Forward To?

It was a tight freaking race for the poll for what December Release You Are Most Looking Forward To but in the end it went to the myster Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy with 22% closely followed by US remake of the The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with 18% and then a tie between The Adventures of Tintin & Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows at 15% each. And it keeps hair splitting from there. Wow. What a month!

Poll Results: What Awards Shows Are You Interested in?

Looks like the Oscars still are the biggest awards game and each and every voter included them as a selection for Which Awards Shows Are You Interested In? They are closely followed by The Golden Globes who rake in 85% of the vote, BAFTA's at 71% (I so which they were televised!) and then Genies & Spirit awards come in at 57% and it makes me very happy that the Canadian Awards got so many votes! Here are the all of the results:

Poll Results: Toronto After Dark is Here: Are You Going?

Looks like Toronto After Dark was certainly the place to be with a whooping 72% going to the festival, breaking down to 46% as repeat festivallers and 26% newcomers - I hope all the newbies had a good time. It truly is like no other festival. Remaining votes when to 20% to No, but I wish I was and just a wee little 6% with No.

What October Release Are You Most Looking Forward To?

We have a three way tie for What October Release Are You Most Looking Forward To at three times 23% with Anonymous, Paranormal Activity 3 & Real Steel. That's pretty amazing and quite the variety with films from a Shakespeare expose, to supernatural horror to family-friendly action! Om second place we have a two way tie with 11% going to both The Ides of March & my pick of The Thing (2011) and rounding out the selection is Puss in Boots with 5%.

I'm currently working though my 2011 Owned/Unseen list and sharing the films as well as the experience weekly on the Movie Moxie Podcast. So far I've braved Attila and enjoyed being scared by The Broken. I can't wait to see what's next.

Results are in and the festival definitely is on most peoples schedule and radar with a whopping 55% answering Yes, It's a Yearly Tradition with most closely followed by 22% saying No, But I Wish I Was. It also sounds like it's either part of your plans for the year are not, with no occasional festivallers by the show of 0% of answers for Yes, I go occasionally.

Poll Results: What July Release Are You Most Looking Forward To?

It's not a surprize to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 as the clear winner of which July release you are most looking forward to with an whopping 47%. Coming in at an impressive second was this weekends big opener of Captain America: The First Avenger 31%, and then we get a big drop with Cowboys & Aliens at 10%. It's clear that the summer is a time for the superheroes & the fantastical - or both!
