Reason to see: I'm always up for a good action film

Assassins' Code follows Paul Thorn (Julian Lee), who is left with memories of happy days with his wife & friends but now is left with remorse and on the trail of high level ex-government baddies who are up to no good. I enjoyed some of the secondary characters and their performances Richard Moll (Bull from Night Court) and John Savage, but as an action flick it left me confused as there wasn't a heck of a lot of action.

I'm willing to stretch a lot for a good action films. I don't feel the need to have stellar acting or an air tight plot (although it helps), but in return I want some good action. I few good hand to hand fights, awesome stunts, heck even a good car chase but Assassins' Code left me high and dry. I felt that it had all the things I'll forgive, but none of the things that pay the balance just a few guns being fired and some punching and that ain't anywhere near enough to keep me happy. Assassins' Code barely kept my attention for the 1 hour 40 minute running time and dipped into the requisite action topics of revenge, betrayal, hunting down old friends and solving a mystery but it wasn't new or interesting enough to pull me in. The baddies are baddies and the protagonist is pretty cold, so it was hard to cheer for anyone. Perhaps as a 70's feel-throwback, but it didn't have the intensity or the brutality that goes hand in hand. Overall, I hate to admit it but I was very disappointed.
