The Toronto Film Critics Association 2011 Awards have been announced and top honours go to The Tree of Life for Best Picture and Best Director for Terrance Mallick. Take Shelted also has multiple wins for both Best Actor (Michael Shannon) and Best Supporting Actress (Jessica Chastain).
The awards will be presented at the awards dinner on January 10, 2012, at which time the Rogers Best Canadian Film Award will be announced. The finalist for Best Canadian Film are: Café de Flore, A Dangerous Method and Monsieur Lazhar.
